Internship update.

Yesterday in internship class we discussed how to get the proper amount of internship hours to get an A in the class. Its been hard for a lot of us to get those hours. So i will talk to the owner of the auto shop to see if I can work longer periods of time.

Internship update

I went to the auto shop on thursday. Since I had to go after school it was later in the day so the work that they had was too large of projects to start. So i just ended up sweeping the driveway and talked with the mechanics.

Chris's Internship update

Last Thursday i interned at the auto shop. I helped replace a timing belt and tighten it around the camshaft sprockets. The process involves patients because you are working in such restricted space. I plan on going today to intern there.

Auto Shop Internship

I am interning at a auto shop in my town.  I went to observe there last thursday. I observed the mechanic cut and refinish the wheel rotors. The rotor is what the caliper attaches to, and holds the break pads. Cutting the rotor involves a tool that attaches to the wheel and spins the wheel while a calibrated cutting edge takes of a certain amout of metal from the roters to give it a new flat surface for the break pads to press on when needed. I plan to work there this thursday. My family and I are still trying to figure out a schedule for when would be the right days for me to go intern there.
